Regarding Successful Living

I really agree with this quote. Its true there is not such a thing as a big step towards something. It s a lot of steps that count to make you successful. The more stairs you encounter the most successful you are going to be. To be successful you have to challenge yourself to do whats best and complete it. For example if you want to become a professional basketball player you have to complete a lot of steps in order to get there. Its not just owe big step you take to get there but rather many steps. 

                      

Recreation Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: Recreational therapists plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. Recreational therapists use a variety of methods, including arts and crafts, drama, music, and dance, sports, games, and community reintegration field trips to help maintain or improve a patient’s physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Salary: $42,280

Education: You must have a high school diploma or a GED certificate. You also need to have a bachelor’s degree to start.   

Reflection: I would not like to be a recreation therapist because it is a job that I am not interested in doing in the future.

I can really relate to this statement by William Penn. Personally i think this is a perfect example for teenagers living in this environment. It could also conclude the fact that it has to do with peer pressure. When you know something is right then you do it. Ignore everybody else because at he end your going to be the mature one doing the right thing. When you know something is bad and people want to do it or even want you to do it then you ignore them and don't do it. Only you can choose to say no. For example if they tell you to smoke then you say no even if all your friends are up for it. 

                               

Thoracic Surgeon

Duties and Responsibility: Thoracic surgeons treat Lung cancer, severe emphysema, Cancer of the esophagus, Gastro esophageal reflux disease, Hiatal hernias, Swallowing disorders such as achalasia, and excess sweating, usually of the upper extremity called hyperhidrosis. They preform surgeries and treatments as well as prescribe medicine.

Salary: $250,000 -$811,000

Education: You have to get a bachelor's degree in order to get into medical school. The most logical pre-med bachelor degrees include courses in chemistry, mathematics, engineering or psychology. Then one must gain a passing score on the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test). They must have 10 years of medical school. Then pass an exam administered by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Reflection: I would like to be a Thoracic Surgeon because they pay really well and I would like to help out people the most I can.

I really like this statement by Martin Luther king Jr because it is very realistic and may match up with people in society today.Your conscience knows what is good and what is bad for you. When your conscience says it is the right thing, then you must take a chance and do it. Cowards ask the question is it safe but that wont get you anywhere, Expediency asks it is politic? That wont get you anywhere or help you choose the right. When your conscience says its right then it is and you should just go for it. For example if i wanna make a choice i know i can listen to my conscience to do the right thing because it will warn me. 

                 

Radiologic Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Radiologic Technologists use x-ray machines, ultrasound machines, magnetic resonance scanners, positron emission scanners, and other machines to help diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. They are also responsible for explaining and getting patients ready for radiological tests and treatment that will be performed.  They place the equipment at the right distance and right angle from the patient to make the right images for the physician. 

Salary: $24,000-$36,000

Education: To become a radiologic technologist you need to complete a two year training program in a hospital or school. A high school diploma or GED certificate is required for entry to these programs.  

Reflection: I would like to be a Radiologic technologist because it sounds like an interesting career that I would like to work in one day.

I Think the quote is trying to say that once we know we are doing right then we are doing the right and in the end we are going to be doing a nice duty. We need to have faith in order to know whats right and whats wrong. Led us to the end where we have done our duty of being a good person and doing right things. I really think this is what the statement means. For example in order to do good in our everyday lives then we need to have faith in what we do in order for it to be right. 

                    

Radiation Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities: Radiation therapist assists radiologists and oncologists in treating diseases by exposing areas of patient’s bodies to ionizing radiation. They are also responsible for maintaining the radiation therapy equipment and helping to maintain patient records.

Salary: $22,000-$36,000

Education: You either need a one or two year program in order to start training. One year programs are required for hospitals. You also need to have graduated from an approved program in radiologic technology. A high school diploma or a GED is required to enter two year courses.

Reflection: I would not like to be a Radiation Therapist because it is not very interesting for me and I am not really looking

Doing what is right can of course be a phenomenon. I believe if you choose the right then you will always feel great about yourself. Self respect, dignity, integrity, and self esteem are what should get you to choose the right and feel good about yourself internally. When you have all those characteristics then you will be successful and have a phenomenon Life and fell good about your self in the inside. For example if you have self respect then you eill feel good about yourself and others as well. 

Psychologist

Duties and responsibilities: Psychologists study the behavior and actions of people to understand, explain, and change their behavior patterns.  They also provide counseling and therapy to those with emotional, learning, and behavior problems.  Psychologists work in schools, clinics, hospitals, and private practice.

They also diagnose and treat problems, interview and observe patients, develop mental health programs, and conduct research and teaching.

Salary: $45,000-$65,000

Education: You have to earn a Ph.D. in psychology. You must also complete a two year supervised internship after earning their doctorate and pass oral and written state qualifying exams. They must at least earn a master’s degree.

Reflection: I would not like to be a psychologist because it is a career that I am not interested in.

I can really relate to this statement by Ralph Waldo Emerson because it is entirely true. If we put our self's in the test in order to accomplish something that is difficult then we will conquer it and become more successful. Its not that in nature it is hard to do so, but the power we put into it is what will make us accomplish the difficult task we are doing. If we want to do something that is very hard for us we have to but our effort and power into it. For example if you like baseball but it is difficult for you, then you put all your effort and power and eventually it will become easier for yourself.

                                          

Psychiatrist

Duties and Responsibilities: Psychiatrists are physicians who specialize in mental illness. They are licensed to use a very wide variety of treatment and may write prescriptions. They work in hospitals, schools, and may work for the government. They also Design treatment programs. Conduct psychotherapy sessions, Prescribe potent mental illness drugs, Supervise electrotherapy treatment’s, and Conduct research.

Salary: $90,000-$200,000

Education: Psychiatrist have to complete the requirements for a degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine and must also complete an intensive three year residency in psychiatry.

Reflection: I would like to be a psychiatrist because they get paid very well and is not a lot of schooling in order to be in this particular career in the medical field.

I really agree and like this statement by Thomas Edison. I think that the things you have in life doesn't determine if you are worth something or not. The personality and the person you are determines it. It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor to determine how poor are your are. That proves nothing. For example if you are good to a person then you are going to be worth much more to that person. 

Psychiatric Aide – Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: Psychiatric aides take care of all the physical or mental needs of a person.  They have to make beds, serve meals, and help patients dress, eat, and bathe.

Salary: There Salary is $ 13.02 per hour and averages to about $35,000 a year.

Education: Student need a high school diploma in order to become a Psychiatric aide and need some experience in a community college for mental studies.

Reflection: I would not like to be a psychiatric aide because it is not a job that is interesting to me. I don’t think I would be happy taking care of someone all day and I think financially it isn’t enough for me.

Anything is possible if you put effort in it. Determination is what will get you passed what you though was impossible. Nothing will ever be impossible unless you put determination into it. Impossible can be the same as possible if you put effort in it and determination. If you do not have determination in your goals then you will find it impossible to accomplish it. For example if you think its impossible to make it to the MLB, you have to have enough determination to conquer it. 

                                           

Pharmacy Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: Pharmacy Technicians work in pharmacies under the direction of pharmacist. They are responsible for filling in prescriptions according to doctors’ orders for patients. They also measure out correct amounts of medication from larger containers to prescription size containers. All of their work is checked by pharmacist before getting hand out to patients.

There other duties include checking inventories and ordering supplies, receiving and checking in supplies, waiting on customers, keeping pharmacy work areas clean, and helping fill out insurance forms.  They work in pharmacy’s and hospitals.

Salary:  $15,000-$25,000

Education: A high School diploma is required to begin pharmacy technician training. Two year courses leading to certificates are available at community colleges. Six month programs are offered at privately operated schools.

Reflection: I would like to be a pharmacy technician because it sounds like a nice and interesting job.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Thats basically what you have to do in order to live the dream you have always wanted to live. I always look in the direction to my dreams because i want to be successful and accomplish my dreams. I know the dream i want to live in one day wont be easy to accomplish so i always have go straight through that hardworking path in order to accomplish it. I will live the life i imagined till that day i will continue to work hard. For example i want to be in the NBA when i am older and in order to live that life i have imagined i have to go directly to the basketball path in order to get there.

Pharmacist

Duties and Responsibilities: Pharmacists compound, or prepare, prescriptions written by physicians, dentists, and other practitioners. They prepare the medication. Pharmacists weigh, measure, and mix drugs to make the medicine. They answer pharmacists answer patients and customers questions about drugs they are taking and which can be sold over the counter. Pharmacists are responsible for ordering any drugs which they are low on.

Salary: $33,000-$51,000

Education: Students should take AP classes in high school.

All pharmacists need to graduate from a college of pharmacy. Most pharmacy schools require applicants to take the Pharmacy College Admissions test, and some will require up to two years of pre-pharmacy education. Other schools will admit students straight from high school.

Reflection: I would like to be a pharmacist because it sounds like an interesting career and it is something I would like to do.
