Ophthalmic Technician
Research, look for, and
provide the following:
Duties and Responsibilities: They help
ophthalmologists collect data and measurements to allow the correct diagnosis
and treatment of eye diseases and problems. They preform simple eye exams,
assisting with eye surgery, and explaining treatments and diagnostics to
patients.
Salary: $14,000-$25,000
Education: You need a high school
diploma or GED certificate and two years of college prior to beginning
ophthalmic training programs. The programs last about two years.
Reflection: I would not like to
be an ophthalmic technician because it’s a job that does not pay very much and I
am not interested in the things they have to do.
